Once you've settled, put all your units back together and start scouting around - Kill all the villages you find, and do your main quest. They'll help you keep your land safe, and with the Vision bonus you can get from empire plans, they become even better.Unless you're rebuilding your armies, you should be taking cities.Make your starting hero a General and give them a bow. Hit that Empire in different locations at the same time, and when summer comes play defensive.Get Watchtowers as quickly as possible. If there's a tricky Empire you're having trouble attacking, try a all-in rush in winter. Make up for this with Insignias on Generals - Glassteel and Titanium are very useful, as they allow you to hit first and hopefully, kill them before they hit.Winter is your time. Stuns are good, and so is more armor.Even with Optimal Defence and Offence First, you'll still be outmatched in stats at some point. Four or five Dervish, two Kassai and two Yirmaks.Use Charge. 30%+ Attack when seiging and free armies?
